COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
The Library is partnering with the Marion County Public Health Department to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics at some of our locations. All three vaccines – Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) – are available. The vaccines are free, and no appointment is needed. Vaccines at these sites are for ages 12 and older. Free Lead Screening Kits
The Library has partnered with the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) Center for Urban Health to help Marion County residents screen for lead around their homes. Free Lead Screening Kits can be used to screen water, paint, soil, and dust. Kits are available at 13 Library locations. Learn more here.
Beech Grove Coloring is Better Than Therapy
Adults are invited to experience the latest trend in relaxation and fun: coloring! Enjoy socializing with others while coloring on pages designed for adults. Coloring supplies are provided or bring your own. No registration is required.
Central Library Laugh in Peace Comedy Show
You are invited to a fun-filled evening of interfaith comedy that highlights our commonalities featuring Rabbi Bob Alper, Rev. Susan Sparks, and Muslim comic Gibran Saleem. Think, laugh, and leave with little different view of the world. You can use a laugh, right? Who can’t these days?!
Garfield Park Adult Walking Club: "The Garfield Gait-ers"
Adults ages 55+ are invited to a planned walk from Garfield Park Library using trails throughout the park and nearby neighborhoods. These twice monthly walks will last approximately 45 minutes. Tai Chi Flow
Join us for a free bi-weekly Tai Chi class presented by Christine Bhe. Tai Chi Flow is a mind/body exercise that combines the best of traditional Tai Chi and Qigong with modern Western fitness. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
Interested in learning about MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and how it can improve your overall well-being? Join us for this 1.5 hour class. We will explore topics covered in a typical 8-week MBSR class, including: automatic thinking, habitual stress reactivity, stress management, and what to expect from an MBSR class. You will also gain firsthand experience of mindfulness through a few short practices.

Online NinjaZone Camp for Kids
Get your kids moving! Join Coach Mike for a series of classes to do at your own pace from the comfort of your living room. NinjaZone combines the coordination, strength, and agility training into a creative form of freestyle movement. For children 3-6, but the whole family is free to join in! OverDrive has a wide selection of e-books and downloadable audiobooks in their Health & Fitness collection. They also have a large variety of e-magazine in their Health & Wellness e-magazine collection including Prevention, Women's Fitness, Men's Fitness Guide, Vegan Life, and more.
